At UK Debt Recovery, we employ several debt recovery agents that help our diverse range of clients solve their problems with recovering debts owed to them in a professional and efficient manner. Our agents always engage with your debtors in firm, but fully legal ways. We have prepared this post so that you can learn what our debt recovery agents do on a daily basis.
Generally, our agents build a rapport with your debtor or debtors throughout the day. They typically start their day by ringing up your debtors on the phone or writing letters (something you might already have done). The purpose of these calls and letters is to stress the urgency of repaying the debts to you. We understand how much harm an unpaid debt could cause to your business, which is why this sense of urgency is very important in the work of our debt recovery agents. Usually we wait a couple of days for the debtor to contact us as specified in the phone call or the letter in order to start making arrangements.
When we make phone calls, we only speak to the debtor directly. Same with letters - they are addressed to the debtor directly and we never put anything about a debt on the envelopes. Confidentiality is very important in this business. If we are asked to leave a message, the agent leaves their name and contact number without specifying anything about the debt, but stressing the urgency of returning the call nonetheless. All the numbers that we provide in the letters or voicemail are free to call.
When the debtor returns the agent's call, the main purpose of the conversation is to come to an agreement regarding repayment arrangements using all the legal avenues possible. We never resort to threats or any illegal measures in order to recover money. However, if it is impossible to come to an agreement over the phone, or correspondence, UK Debt Recovery asks its agent to send out demand letters to the debtors. These letters outline the amount of money to be repaid by the debtor to their creditor and the deadline by which the payments have to be made in order to avoid a lawsuit.
Sometimes, the debtor's contact details that you provided us with might not be valid. In those cases, our professionals employ experience and the latest technology available in order to trace the debtors and get in touch. If there is no response from the debtor, our agents conduct personal visits during which they act in full compliance with the law and the industry regulations. These visits, just like phone calls and letters, are carried out in order to stress the urgency of repayment of the debt and to work out payment arrangements with the debtor.
Debt recovery agents at UK Debt Recovery work very hard and do their best in order to recover your money, or at least a portion of it. Our cases are rarely simple and straightforward, but we employ a no win no fee approach - i.e. no matter how complex the case is, you only pay us after we bring you results. Please be advised that, while our debt recovery agents place a big emphasis on professionalism, their job is not easy. They work under a lot of pressure every day and their pay depends on the amount they recover in each case. However, as we've tried to emphasise in this post, no matter how complex and stressful a case might be, debt recovery agents at UK Debt Recovery would never act in a manner contrary to the law and the professional regulations, as well as our high ethical standards.
If you have any questions about the work that debt recovery agents do at UK Debt Recovery, or generally about what debt recovery agents do, don't hesitate to get in touch.
